I have been teaching and coaching English as an additional language for over 15 years. During this time I have worked with over 50 nationalities from around the world, helping them to achieve their goals in English. I have extensive experience teaching English for specific purposes, mainly academic English and business English to support learners who want to study, work or do business in the UK.
At the beginning of my career, I worked in Thailand and Japan for a total of 6 years. This gave me first-hand experience of the difficulties faced when learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. I am now based in the North West of the UK, coaching 1:1 and working with British companies to support their ESOL staff. As well as helping clients through English coaching, I help them to navigate British work culture so they can adapt to their new role more easily.
My first degree was in Psychology and then I completed an MA in Applied Linguistics in 2011. Studying to become a neurolanguage coach was the next logical step for me. I have always been fascinated by how the brain learns and the many different factors that can impact the way people learn languages.
