I started working life in Cornwall, UK as a Lecturer in Spanish at what is now the University of Cornwall. This encompassed teaching undergraduates. In addition, Cornwall EU funding enabled me to teach in Adult Education teaching Business Spanish sessions in local further education colleges. I subsequently completed a PGCE and taught in secondary education in London before a two year stint as a Lectrice at the University of the Sorbonne in Paris followed by period as Project Coordinator at Development Directorate of the OECD. After over 15 years working in the charity sector at a national, regional and local level I decided in 2016 that I sorely needed to do more to promote cultural tolerance and celebrate cultural diversity. This brought me back to tutoring part time bringing me into contact with and supporting professionals setting up offices abroad and families re-locating. This continues to be a rewarding experience. I am committed to continuing my own professional development as a reflective practitioner.
