I come from the Philippines where English is the second official language and medium of instruction in schools and universities.
In 1995, I graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
I worked as a School Director for one of the leading computer colleges in the country in 2000.
Having worked as a Product Trainer and Events Manager for an international network marketing company from 2004-2011, I've had the opportunity to travel all over Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and the Middle East and work with people from different professional backgrounds and management levels.
Now based in Germany, I decided to put my English proficiency and years of corporate experience to use by getting CELTA certified (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and have started teaching and training in General and Business English. I'm currently teaching C1 Conversation classes at the Munchner Volkshochschule (MVHS) and Business English for a private language school also in Munich. I'm also a member of the Munich English Language Teacher's Association (MELTA).
I love doing conversation sessions because they are fun. And when learning is fun, it will also be efficient!
Music is food for my soul... I enjoy listening to various genres - 80s Pop & New Wave, Bossa Nova, Jazz/Acid Jazz, Pop, R&B. That being said, I love to sing. I'm a member of an all-female a cappella choir and sing Bass.
I keep myself fit by doing Body Combat-style and Strength Training workouts and a little bit of Yoga stretches here and there.
I enjoy watching TED Talks and using them in my sessions and my favourite leadership speaker is John Maxwell. And as a a person who loves to interact, people skills is very important to me.
