I’m a Prospective Neurolanguage Coach so I have completed the Language Coaching Certification course but I am in the process of passing my assessment and becoming a certified Neurolanguage Coach.
About me
I help non-native English-speaking professionals to communicate with clarity and confidence and to increase their professional impact. This may be through helping them get closer to what is known as the Standard Southern English or Modern RP accent and using words appropriate for British English, or we may focus on coaching and voice work. Every client's needs and English accent journey is different, and the route we take will depend on where my client wants to go.
With an undergraduate degree in languages, I began my career working for the Japanese government in 1997 as an English language trainer, television presenter and columnist advising on intercultural relations and language.
I went on to teach business professionals in Europe, Asia and Latin America and to run a successful language school in London before founding Chat Naturally to specialise in English pronunciation and accent coaching.
My English language teaching Diploma (MA equivalent), advanced level language qualifications in Spanish and Japanese and the ability to speak five languages, combined with over twenty years experience of English teaching and training and extensive experience of living abroad, give me an invaluable insight into the difficulties that non-native speakers have with English language pronunciation. This enables me to help them overcome their difficulties and communicate more effectively.
Since becoming a Neurolanguage Coach, I have combined the methodology developed by Rachel Paling with a range of Accent and Voice work, to become the first Neurolanguage Coach to specialise in British Pronunciation and Accent for non-native, advanced speakers of English - something of which I am immensely proud.
