I possess the ability to motivate, mobilize, coach and supervise my course participants to meet the required performance standards. For example, whilst teaching in Germany I held a workshop specifically preparing university students for the ERASMUS program (study abroad program). This required me to equip the students with the study skills they required. In addition, it is my nature to remain assertive at all times and flexible, adaptable, resourceful and problem-solution driven towards group and individual needs. I also consider myself to be a professional whose strengths include cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings. My practical and theoretical knowledge in the educational sector has enabled me to gain an understanding in the needs of the academic sector. By teaching in company settings, it has enabled me to apply a high-level proficiency in using technology to ensure maximum results. Last but not least, I have also contributed to the TESL Blog entry on ‘Reflections in the Field’ based on the subject of how to effectively retain language (study skills based).
