I’m a Prospective Neurolanguage Coach so I have completed the Language Coaching Certification course but I am in the process of passing my assessment and becoming a certified Neurolanguage Coach.
About me
I am a retired ESOL professional looking to teach online classes. Any ages and levels, group or individual.
I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Idaho in 1994. My first professional job was teaching at the Universidad de Guadalajara and later at the Universidad Panamerica in Mexico. I spent a total of ten years in Mexico.
In 2000, my parents started needing me, and I moved back to the United States and continued teaching ESOL at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon. My mother and I had ten wonderful years together traveling to Canada, Scotland, and Thailand before she passed away in 2013.
Then I fulfilled a lifelong dream of living and working in China and spent the next nine years of my life teaching at Sias University in Xinzheng and at Fort Hays State University in their China program. It was during this time that I took the Neurolanguage Coaching training to enhance my teaching ability. Neurolanguage Coaching helped me improve my listening and questioning skills to draw students out and help them to communicate more in English.
In 2022, I returned to Idaho and enjoy traveling and gardening. I am interested in teaching online to just a few students to supplement my income and keep me connected to the field and other people. I enjoy teaching individuals and small groups. I also enjoy teaching children. Although I’ve never done it, I think I would like to teach an entire family.
