About me
Hi, I'm Catherine, a native Brit. I studied languages at Cambridge University and having now lived in Austria for over 25 years I've got plenty of language learning stories!
It was in the workplace, though, that the language issue took on a new dimension. After almost 20 years in an Austrian and international business environment, I'm familiar with that feeling of your second language being a handicap at work, the fear of whether it will be good enough for the important document, meeting or presentation coming up, the concern that you might be perceived as less competent at your job because of your language limitations.
When I swapped conference calls for teaching, it was crucial to me to teach English in a way that builds up confidence and better equips learners to effortlessly produce the language they need. My qualification as a neurolanguage coach was a natural step, centred as it is on how the brain works and how language learning can be maximally efficient, relevant and successful.
Today I draw on my extensive business experience and coach German-speaking professionals to achieve what they really need from their English - with motivated, brain-friendly learning and the confidence-building achievement of their own unique goals.
