I’m a Prospective Neurolanguage Coach so I have completed the Language Coaching Certification course but I am in the process of passing my assessment and becoming a certified Neurolanguage Coach.
About me
I am a certified teacher of Spanish in South Carolina, USA and recently certified instructor for the International Baccalaureate program at my school. I am a native speaker of Spanish from Venezuela willing to provide strategies and tools to learn languages in a safe and comfortable environment relying on the clients experiences, interests and background knowledge as points of departure for meaningful learning.
My experience as an international teacher and training in the area of intercultural communication and the connection between language and culture allow add meaning to language learning through sessions that put cultural understanding as you develop language skills to interpret different types of texts, express ideas and interact in diverse contexts.
I am also the author of 'Cuentos para el encuentro', stories in Spanish to promote the value of intercultural encounters as the reader learns the language through the Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) method. This way of bringing stories of any kind to our sessions leads to building vocabulary and language structure while meaning emerges through constant interaction.In my session youll be able to both learn a language and understand it as part of an intercultural experience, experiencing language as a 'languaculture'.
