I have been in the English teaching world for the past 23 years. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a translator for eight years, enjoying connecting with people from all over the world. I worked for Linguistlink London and then I founded "Word-Language Services" in Cagliari and ran it till 1998. In 1998 I opened The Language Corner, It was the first private Language School in my town and it was an unexpected success. I was the founder and director of the school, but I also taught General English and ESP English. Every year we recruited and shared this little enthusiastic working environment with colleagues from the UK, who moved to Sardinia for the academic year. Students really enjoyed the international atmosphere and learning experience that we offered. Teachers and students were eager to interact and the motto of the school was: going beyond the classroom. In 2007, British Institutes, the biggest group of language schools in Italy, invited us to join the group and the Language Corner became the second BI school in Sardinia. I was the founder and director of the school from 2007 to 2021. A long adventure with many opportunities to grow professionally and meet colleagues and schools from all over Italy. During my teaching career, I have worked for a wide variety of clients, from private clients to companies, training organisations, schools and renowned Institutions. For ten years, I ran accredited medical English courses for the local Health Department and collaborated with the local University and many other private and state schools.
