About me
My story begins between cultures.
Of Swedish nationality, I was born in Austria and grew up on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, just off the Moroccan coast. Living at this crossroads of cultures shaped how I see the world. From an early age, I experienced how language connects people, opens perspectives, and creates opportunities. My international education across six countries further deepened this curiosity and nurtured my identity as a global citizen.
Education soon became my professional path. For more than 25 years, I worked in academic leadership, coordinating inter-university (and inter-continental) MA and postgraduate programmes, coordinating the IBDP, serving as well-being lead, and teaching Swedish, English and Spanish Language and Literature, among many other roles. During these years, I supported educators and learners from many different cultural and professional backgrounds.
At the same time, I found myself exploring how learning could become more meaningful, engaging, and aligned with how the brain likes to learn. Long before I encountered language coaching methodologies, my teaching approach was already moving in this direction.
When I discovered Neurolanguage Coaching, it felt like a natural alignment with the direction my work had already been taking and I became one of the earliest certified Neurolanguage Coaches (number 35 in what has since grown into a global community of more than 2, 000 professionals).
Today I lead Effective Learning for Life, a company dedicated to growth and purpose. My work brings together scientific understanding and holistic well-being through four separate, and interconnected, pillars:
Neurolanguage Coaching: applying neuroscience within a coaching framework, integrating emotional intelligence, to support natural, meaningful, and effective language acquisition.
Intercultural Awareness: drawing on my multicultural background and experience to bridge communication across cultures and languages.
Education for Sustainable Development: contributing as a Project Officer with the UN SDSN Global Schools Program and as a Solutionary Coach with the Institute for Humane Education.
Holistic Personal Development: integrating Life and Teen Coaching, Mindfulness, Emotional Intelligence, NLP and Laughing Medicine.
As of 2026, I serve as the ELC Licensed NLC Coach Trainer for Spain, supporting educators who wish to transition from traditional teaching to brain-friendly coaching approaches anchored in the most recent neuroscience.
My mission is to help people grow not only as learners, but as "solutionaries" -- individuals who combine cognitive excellence, intercultural awareness, and a heartfelt commitment to creating a more sustainable and compassionate future.
